What are AskChart Trading Strategies?

Trading strategy is a complete set of buying (short covering) or selling (short selling) rules that allow trader to systematically initiate or terminate a position. AskChart Trading Strategies are based on common technical analysis, which assumes that price movement can be determined from the histroical data. Currently we have six strategies that you can apply to the stock (or index) chart:

  • MA Cross-over --- Moving Averages Cross-over:


  • Gap Up/Down --- Gap Ups and Gap Downs:


  • Peak/Valley --- Short Term Peaks or Valleys:


  • Consecutive Up/Down --- Consecutive Up Bars or Down Bars:


  • RSI OB/OS --- Relative Strength Index Over-Bought or Over-Sold:


  • Stochastic OB/OS --- Stochastic Over-Bought or Over-Sold:
